Uses and Features
The VENTURI SCRUBBER is a gas and particle absorption system designed for the separation of sub-micron particles, smoke, and gases under conditions of high temperature, high humidity, explosive risk, wet and sticky dust, and corrosive environments. It is particularly used where dry filtration is not feasible due to risks of clogging, fire, chemical failure, or explosion.
The Venturi Scrubber can capture and filter emissions from furnaces, dryers, reactors, and incineration units, as well as serve as a primary absorption stage for chemical vapor emissions. It can also act as a gas cooler when combined with a Quencher for adiabatic gas cooling, enabling efficient particle capture and subsequent treatment of chemical vapors (integrated systems).
Scrubber design is carried out using specialized process software for chemical calculations, FLUID DYNAMICS, thermodynamics, material strength, and corrosion resistance, requiring extensive process engineering expertise and experience.
All components of the VENTURI SCRUBBER are manufactured using advanced and highly precise processing technologies. Construction materials are selected based on customer and process requirements. The unit can be built from steel or stainless steel, and for cold chemical or corrosive processes, it can be made from polypropylene, PVDF, or fiberglass.
