Uses and Features

The HORIZONTAL CROSS FLOW SCRUBBER gas absorption unit is designed for the treatment and neutralization of acidic and alkaline gases and vapors in chemical plants, pharmaceutical factories, chemical reactor exhausts, coating baths, and as an emergency system for hazardous gas leaks, such as ammonia leaks in refrigeration units. It is also used for odor control in various industries and wastewater treatment facilities. The horizontal design allows installation in locations with height restrictions.

Scrubber design is carried out using specialized process engineering software for chemical calculations, FLUID DYNAMICS, thermodynamics, material strength, and corrosion resistance, requiring extensive process engineering knowledge and experience.

The unit includes a water tank, inlet and outlet ports, filling and draining ports, packing media, nozzles, pumps, flow meters, capacity meters, water piping, and a water level control system. Optional systems can include pH control, conductivity control, REDOX (oxidation-reduction) control, and pre-cooling adiabatic units QUENCHERS for treatment of emissions from thermal processes.

Columns are manufactured from extra-thick polypropylene, providing mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and HEAVY DUTY construction suitable for process industry applications.

Additional standard construction materials: PVDF, fiberglass, PVC, or stainless steel (304/316).
