Uses and Features
PACKED COLUMN SCRUBBER systems are used for the treatment and neutralization of acidic and alkaline gases and vapors in chemical plants, pharmaceutical factories, chemical reactor exhausts, coating baths, and as emergency units for accidental releases of hazardous gases, such as ammonia leaks in refrigeration facilities. Scrubbers are also used for odor treatment across various industries and in wastewater treatment facilities.
SCRUBBER design is performed using specialized process engineering software for chemical calculations, FLUID DYNAMICS, thermodynamics, material strength, and corrosion resistance, requiring extensive engineering expertise and experience.
A SCRUBBER includes a water tank, inlet and outlet openings, fill and drain ports, packing media, nozzles, pumps, flow meters, water piping, and a water level control system. Optional features include PH control, conductivity monitoring, ( REDOX ) oxidation-reduction control, and pre-cooling adiabatic units QUENCHER for emissions from thermal processes.
The columns are manufactured from extra-thick polypropylene, providing mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and a HEAVY DUTY structure suitable for process industry applications. Other standard construction materials include PVDF, fiberglass, PVC, and stainless steel (316/304).
